Baklava

Baklava reigns supreme among all oriental sweets. One of the most popular recipes comes from the Greek town of Ioannina, where Nikos Kolionasios and his family became famous for their golden baklava – the traditional hand wrapped crispy rolls, lightly sweetened and generously filled with top quality nuts.  In the Mediterranean world to eat well means mixing of tastes, small dishes, lots of fruits and vegetables, top quality natural ingredients. The fun here is in the variety and Kolionasios baklava is no different. Right next to the all time classic pistachio filling, Kolionasios makes baklava with mixes of nuts and fruits, cranberries, chocolate... even olives.
