Panettone is traditionally served on a festive table in Italy around Christmas or the New Year period. It consists of a variety of raisins, candied orange, lemon peel, dried fruit, almonds and chocolate chips. Panettone is wrapped in a beautiful package and thus also becomes a wonderful Christmas gift.
Panettone cake is sliced and served with coffee or dessert wine. Likewise, these cakes can be served with mascarpone and vanilla - almond liqueur. When the holidays pass the Panettone leftovers can be used for the preparation of desserts, served with ice cream.
